Moseley was rocked last week when a large hole opened up in the centre of St Mary’s Row. The road was temporarily closed whilst representatives from Birmingham City Council carried out emergency repairs. Was this really a case of poor highway maintenance or was it the dead making a bid for freedom? A local resident claimed that as the hole opened up there was the sound of a thousand trapped souls screaming for release. When asked a spokesman for the council said “What the hell are you talking about?”
